Peary's own account of his Arctic expedition's organization, personnel, the voyage, interactions with Eskimos, hunting and a detailed account of the final push to the pole. The volume includes an introduction by Theodore Roosevelt and a foreword by Gilbert H. Grosvenor, Director and Editor of the National Geographic Society. Illustrataed with 8 color plates, 100 black and white photographs and a folding map at rear. Three-quarter blue Morocco leather binding and tips with light blue cloth boards.
